My boys treated me to a wonderful Mother's Day!

When I walked out of the bedroom Sunday morning I was greeted by this...
Trey had been very sneaky and I was totally surprised!

Then I was treated to a wonderful breakfast...

Off to church where the children's choirs performed...
they were wonderful!Children singing "My Great Mom!"


Then to Mama's for lunch and pictures!
My boys are wonderful and I LOVE THEM VERY, VERY MUCH!!!

Look How You've Grown: Jesse

Right before Trey's first birthday I watched a lady on television talking about how she took pictures of her daughter every year on her birthday wearing the same dress, one that belonged to the mom (I think it may have been a prom dress). Anyway, she said the point was to watch how her daughter grew into the dress every year and they showed these beautiful framed progression pictures. I thought it was a wonderful idea and thus started the tradition with Trey wearing the shirt that his Daddy wore at our wedding reception. When Jesse came along, I of course, had to continue the tradition with him. I use the same shirt, which may cause problems one day I guess, but it was the only sentimental shirt I could decide on. Jesse is definitely in the "why are you making me do this when I really, really, really, really don't want to" stage but this year went better than last, and I really LOVE the pictures. So without further ado...here's Jesse's annual "shirt" pictures!

On April 14, 2009 my baby boy turned three, which meant it was time for some "professional" photos. This year, for the first time ever, I decided to take the photos myself. This is the very first time that I have ever set out with the single purpose of taking milestone photos. Jesse and I went by ourselves to my Mom's while everyone was at school and work and had a very nice session with just the two of us in her backyard. I am very pleased with the results, if I do say so myself.This is just a small sample of the photos that I took. If you'd like to see more, there are some posted on facebook. Easter Sunday: The Last Egg Hunt

Remember way back, like six posts ago, I warned you that our Easter weekend was very, very busy and that I had taken lots of pictures??? Well, I didn't lie did I? But here we are at the end of the road...the LAST EGG HUNT! Easter afternoon we went out to my in-laws and the boys hunted eggs with their cousins. Can I tell you that I still have Easter eggs in my fridge!!!
