Our hotel was just down the road from Planet Hollywood and the boys begged from day one to eat at the “blueberry” restaurant.

          

The boys had a great time wandering around the restaurant looking at all the movie memorabilia.  It did make me feel a little old though that they didn’t know who most of the actors were or what most of the movies were.  They did like the Power Rangers and Ninja Turtles though!


There was a trivia game going on while we were there.  They would ask a question and the first person to go up with the correct answer won a DVD.  I gave Trey the answer to a Robin Hood question and he ran up there to tell the answer and won this Robin Hood DVD.  He was so excited!!!

   

We took in an IMAX 3D movie about ocean dinosaurs while we were there.

 

I think our favorite stop though was the candy store!!!  The boys loved the bins upon bins of candy that you could buy by the pound.  And we had a difficult time choosing just what to get.  I was amazed by the jelly bean sand castle that was for sale.  However, it was well out of my price range and inedible so it stayed on the shelf!

Our many adventures made for some worn out boys at night!!!  We had a great time in Myrtle Beach and I am thankful for the opportunity that we had.

Myrtle Beach Aquarium

My guys love them some fish, so we couldn’t wait to visit the Myrtle Beach Aquarium!

 

While at the aquarium it was obvious where my boys spend their  weekends.  I don’t know many 4 year olds (Jesse) that can go to an aquarium and identify the fish but Jesse sure can...look Mama it's a red fish, it's a nurse shark, it's a sheephead, it's a black drum.  He even corrected his Daddy on one of his fish identifications!!!   And Trey is just as bad!  There was a young man there telling the young woman with him, "Look it's a hammerhead. See his head”.  And Trey piped up with, "Actually it's a bonnethead not a hammerhead.”

  

The aquarium also had a very cool playground which the boys loved!

     

It was a great afternoon!  However, I believe the boys’ favorite part was the gift shop…shark tooth necklace for Trey and and a soft sting ray for Jesse.

Myrtle Beach 2010

I’ve been looking back through all my photos from the last year, trying to decide what to post…you know, all that stuff from the past year that I failed to post when it actually happened.  And I’ve decided that I take way too many pictures!!!  LOL!  Not really.  I do take a ton of photos and sometimes I do get behind in blogging them.  But that’s because I’d rather be making memories than blogging about them.  However, I will continue to take tons of photos (and eventually blog them all) because I know that my boys are growing up way too fast and I don’t want to forget a single thing from their childhood!!!

Today I decided to share some of my favorite photos from our trip last fall to Myrtle Beach.  This is who I do this blog for…my boys!  They are my heart and I want them to have something to look back on one day and say…”Wow!  I remember that!  THAT was so much fun!!!”   I also wanted to do something special in honor of my 500th blog post!!!!!!  Yep, that’s right, this is post 500!!!  And what could be more special than the two precious boys that God has blessed my life with!

  

It was really too cold to be playing on the beach, so the beach was deserted.  That didn’t stop my boys though, it just meant they had more room to romp!!!
