Photo Friday: A Kentucky Photo Shoot

We spent last weekend in Kentucky visiting my Dad and Grandmother. On Friday morning it dawned on me that the old barn, and old fence rows would make wonderful backdrops for some pictures!!! It also dawned on me that I didn't pack any "photo shoot" clothes. However, I couldn't pass up the opportunity, so we went with what we had...play clothes and two uncooperative boys! Jesse was more interested in looking at the horses than in looking at the camera for Mama. Trey was little better, but not much! So for better or worse, here you go...our Kentucky photo shoot!

Reel Winners Eat Chikin

A couple of weeks ago the boys got dragged along on a shopping trip with Mama & Ah-ee. While the boys did get new shoes (which they put on as soon as we left the store!) and backpacks (which Jesse wore in his car seat!), this trip was mainly about Mama & finding me some new school clothes! Trey was especially good about helping pick out clothes and bring them to me in the dressing room, so for lunch we decided to treat the boys to Chick-Fil-A. They were soooooo excited!!! I am so thankful for my boys who have lots of fun doing the littlest things!!! They will always be "reel winners" in my book!

They were playing "Alien Family" ... Don't ask, I really don't know:-)

Beach Bums

What to do when you have a long, boring week stretching out in front of you???
Why, spend Monday at the beach of course!!!
It's a great way to beat those summertime (& Monday) blues!

Drama Kings

What does it take to totally tick off a 3 year old when he's supposed to be enjoying a day at the beach???

That's the question that Ah-ee and I were asking on a recent trip to St. Simon's Island. The boys were playing with some holes that they had dug in the sand. They were bringing buckets of water to fill the holes. Jesse brought a bucket full of water and was determined to pour it into one of the holes despite the fact that Trey wanted to dip his shovel full of sand into the bucket. I told Trey just to dip the shovel into the water that was in the hole, so he did. Jesse took off, running around in circles, up and down the beach, screaming his head off. It was actually quite comical...we didn't know what was going on but he was drawing everyone's attention. When I finally got him to sit down and tell me what was up he said that the "sand had drank his water" from his hole. And...he was not one bit happy about that!

Checking out the hole...

Let's see if it will happen again...

I don't know what Trey is mad about here...
He was playing in the sand with some new friends and had gone to get a bucket of water.
Apparently, he didn't like what they were doing to his "city" while he was gone.

And you thought only girls were full of drama!
