Memorial Day Celebration 2014

One of my favorite holidays is Memorial Day.  That may be a strange favorite for some, but it is one of my favorites because Memorial Day means it's time for our big family get together at Aunt Dot and Uncle Kirby's!  We gathered early on the Saturday before Memorial Day and spent a fun day playing in the sun, enjoying each other's company, and indulging in some yummy bbq and other treats!

Memorial Day is all about family time for us and I love these kiddos and all their siblings so much!

The zip line is a favorite for all the kids!

Cousins, zip line, tree swing, baseball, swing, slide, sandbox, play kitchen, basketball, canoeing, frogging...
so much to do, so little time!

Our Easter

Heavy rains kept us from egg hunting at our annual church eggstravaganza, but we had a great time anyway!

The Easter Bunny was very good to the boys!

After church it was time for our family photos.  Our boys are growing up and we got three of the four to cooperate for a cousins picture.  And of course, we always have to have some silly photos!

After egg hunting, it was time to count our eggs and see what was inside!

Easter afternoon we visited with Grandma & Da and enjoyed a treasure hunt instead of an egg hunt!

Coloring Eggs

Jesse's birthday party was on Good Friday, so Saturday was egg coloring day!  We were so happy that Whit was with us to share one of the boys' favorite Easter traditions.

Post Party Fun!

Although we celebrated Jesse's birthday ALL WEEK LONG he was not ready for the celebration to end.  So after his DINO-MITE party, Whit came home with us to spend the night and help Jesse play with all his new toys.

 

 

New games, new legos, new dinosaurs, and a new balloon animal kit all made for a great post party celebration!

A Week of Eight

My baby turned eight on Monday, April 14th and in true Tyre fashion, we enjoyed a full week of celebrating!

 

Sunday:  Sunday lunch and cupcakes with Papa & Ahy-ee.

 

Monday (Jesse's Actual Birthday):  Gifts from Papa & Ahyee.  Jesse was bummed that he had to do school work on his birthday but doing getting to do it in his new Batman cape (it's a cape not a towel according to him) made it a little better.  Monday night we celebrated with Olive Garden for supper, Rio 2, and then home for cookie cake with Mommy, Daddy, & Trey.

 

 

Tuesday:  Celebrating at DQ with all the Tyres!

 

We also celebrated April birthdays at church on Wednesday and then had Jesse's Dino-Mite Birthday Party on Friday (more on that soon).  It was an exhausting but fun week!  Jesse is blessed to have so many people who love him and want to celebrate his special day!
