Since we homeschool, we don't usually take a formal spring break. My boys usually take several days during March, April, and May (sometimes once a week) to go fishing at the coast which means we can't take a whole week off and do nothing. However, we are going a little stir crazy by April and we're all ready for school to be over so we usually take a fun and educational break and spend a few days going on field trips. The first week in April we took two trips, and then we took another trip the weekend before Easter, and we have one more trip planned for next week. It has made April very busy, but it's been a nice break from the norm and has given us a chance to get out of the house and re-energize to finish up the school year. Our first trip was on April 1st to visit Columbus' ships, the Nina and the Pinta, which were visiting Savannah.

| After touring the Nina and the Pinta, we walked around River Street and had to stop in at the Candy Kitchen! We loved watching them make salt water taffy, but the boys loved their sweet treats more! |

All in all, a very fun and educational trip to Savannah and a wonderful break from our school days!
