I absolutely adore getting together with my family! These were some of my favorite times as a child and they are still some of my favorite times! We don’t get to spend as much time together as we would like and it seems like we’re never all together at the same time, so when we are together we make the most of it (and terribly miss those who aren’t with us).
Last July, Aunt Dot and Uncle Kirby hosted a big family gathering to celebrate Aunt Dot’s birthday, America’s birthday, and the impeding birthday of their newest grandson. And I am so behind in posting these photos that Baby Charlie is almost 3 months old already! We had a lot to celebrate and I enjoyed every minute of it!
As I said in an earlier post, there were 6 of us cousins born within 4 years and four of us (with hubbies and kiddos in tow) made it to the celebration. Although we don’t see each other often, we’ve always been close and we love spending time catching up when we are able to get together.
Aunt Dot was well prepared for all the grands…she had the fish to look at, the playset to play on, swings and more swings, the horseshoes, putt putt, and other games to play, the power wheel to drive around, the big lake to fish in, and the boat to ride on! The kiddos didn’t want to leave they were having so much fun!
Yes, everyone had a big time celebrating. We had lots to celebrate and a lot to look forward to. Our family just keeps growing and with each new addition the blessings continue blossom.
We are looking forward to our annual family gathering for Thanksgiving in just a few days and as always we have a lot to be thankful for. I can’t wait to finally meet baby Charlie and I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring for our family…hopefully more time spent together!
