Hunting Eggs!

Last Friday was a busy day indeed! The second grade celebrated Easter with their egg hunt and party. After the trike-a-thon was over, Daddy and Jesse raced over to the egg hunt. They were a little late, but got there in time for the class pictures. The hunt was held at the same local church as last year, and they had the pictures made on the same steps, so it was fun (and a little sad) looking back at last year's photos, and seeing how much they have grown!

Riding for a Cause

Each year our preschool participates in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's trike-a-thon. Jesse had been looking forward to the event for two weeks! He got his sponsors, collected his money, walked around all week saying, "step one, always wear your helmet; step two, stay out of the street; step three, be careful near driveways; step four, always watch where your going", and asked me EVERY day if tomorrow was the day! He was so excited to take his bike to school! And what happened? This past Friday morning, the BIG day, he woke up feeling crummy! But......he was not to be deterred! He DID NOT want to stay home! He WAS riding his bike in the trike-a-thon! So he went to school, had a wonderful time, and left school with Daddy as soon as his ride was over. And take a look at that smiling boy...can't you just see the joy!
