Blast Ball: The End

Jesse's last blast ball game was on Friday, May 14, 2009 and everybody came out to watch!

Jesse had a wonderful time playing blast ball! It was a great first experience for him. He can't wait until fall arrives and he can become involved in something else. Soccer? Karate? Who knows...it changes daily!

May 3rd was also the first time that Jesse willingly shook the other team's hands after the game! A major step for him:-)

More Blast Ball

Jesse looked forward to each and every one of his blast ball games. And me? Well, I took tons and tons of pictures! These photos are from his April 16th and April 27th games. The team received their hats at the game on the 16th and Jesse was so excited to have a hat all of his own. He was pretty good about wearing it too. For about the first five minutes of each game. Then. He wouldn't touch it for the rest of the game!

The Tuesday after spring break, Jesse started blastball!!! This is a version of t-ball for 3 & 4 year olds in which they hit the ball off the tee, run to first base, and jump on it. Why jump? Because the base squeaks, of course! The teams are co-ed with five children each. Everybody on one team hits, and then we switch sides and the other team hits. It is too cute watching these little ones run around the field. My hubby says it's like trying to herd ants, and it sorta is! But the kids are having a BLAST, and that's what it's all about! And it's a good thing that they only play six "games" because I've taken a ton of photos at every single one!!! These are from his very first game on April 13, 2010.

When we arrived at his very first game, I wanted to take some photos of Jesse in his uniform. He told me, take a picture of my back and then he promptly turned around, and said "CHEEEESSSSE!!!" So, although you can't tell it, he is smiling very big in this photo:-) He is very proud of the fact that his Daddy and Uncle Cory sponsored his team and we are certainly blessed that they did. He especially likes having "Tyre" on the back of his jersey.

Once we took a photo of the back of his jersey, Jesse was much more cooperative with taking a face forward picture.
