Weird Animals, The Finale!

Friday, June 6th was a BIG day for us!  Jesse and I had our closing program for VBS and our Trey came home camp!!!  I was one excited Mama!  Ahyee picked Trey up and met us at VBS.  I was so happy to see my big boy and our closing program went great!  It was a wonderful, blessed day!

Our Week of Weird Animals

Jesse and I enjoyed a great week of VBS while Trey was gone!

 

The Tyre family loves our Lucy Mia!  Jesse loved getting all her sugar!

 

 

There was a train all week!  My little ones loved it! (And so did Jesse but I don't have any photos of him on it.)

On Tuesday afternoon we picked Whit up and took him with us to a puppet show at the library and to VBS!  Then he spent the night with us and he and Jesse played all day on Wednesday so that he could go with us to VBS again on Wednesday night.  Jesse loved having a playmate while Trey was away.

 

Jesse was obsessed with the mustaches and dressing weird.  He wore his mustache every night and added his rain hat to make him look more weird!

 

 

It was a great week learning all about the weird animals that God created!

Weird Animals

While Trey was at Camp Wahsega we enjoyed learning all about God's creation at our Weird Animals VBS.  I think that this is the first year I didn't lead Jesse's class.  Instead I had the sweet toddlers, while Jesse enjoyed his boys only class!  We kicked off VBS week with a series of waterslide parties.  On Friday night, May 30th, our 6th grade and up enjoyed the slide.  Most of them would be gone during VBS but they still got to have lots of fun kicking off VBS.  Then on Saturday afternoon it was our 5th grade and under kids turn to slide.  Finally, on Sunday afternoon, everyone came out for one more day of sliding fun!  It was a great way to kick off our summer!

 

More May Happenings

May was a super busy month with lots of end of school and hello summer fun!



We had our last 4H meeting of the year and the kids received awards for their activities throughout the year.
Trey participated in Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging, Robotics Club, and CPA/DPA.

Trey attended Nicholas' 13th birthday party on May 12th.

The boys found this yellow bellied slider which Trey is convinced is our old one that we let go about a year or so ago.

Trey attended a Boy Scouts campout on May 16th.

We played the Wii at the hospital while visiting our sweet friend Mason.  He had emergency surgery on May 27th and had a terrible time recovering.  We wound up visiting him at a second hospital about two weeks later.  We are thankful that he is all mended now!

They had a great time playing with the sidewalk chalk!

We also had a lot of fun attempting to make balloon animals!

 

We had a lot of fun in May!  I am thankful for all the memories made!
