State Competition

We spent May 5th in Albany, GA at State CTS (Church Training Service) Competition.  We had youth competing in singing, piano solos, drama, Bible Millionaire, Bible Tic-Tac-Toe, Bible Memorization, and art.  Trey competed in four of these  categories-Bible Memorization, Bible Millionaire, art, and singing.

Trey worked really hard on his art piece and we will be carrying it to nationals in July.

Trey worked hard from August till May to memorize 8 passages from the Bible, 60 verses in all, for 4th grade Bible memorization. During competition the moderator calls out three passages & Trey had 15 seconds to begin reciting the correct Scripture. And to brag just a little, Trey did AWESOME!!! He only made one mistake, saying heavens instead of heaven in Genesis 1. We are extremely proud of him for his hard work, but more importantly we are thankful to have such a God loving and God fearing boy to call our son. He has hidden these words in his heart and now he will always have them to lean on. To God be the glory!!!

We are extremely proud of all of our state competitors!  They all worked extremely hard throughout the year to prepare for competition.  And it paid off.  We have youth competing at nationals in piano solos, drama, art, Bible Millionaire, and Bible Tic-Tac-Toe.  Way to go, Pine Level!!!

Strike!

Each fall ACA holds a Christmas sale fundraiser.  It’s one of their biggest fundraisers and the kids really get into it…probably because of the prizes that are at stake.  One of the prizes is a trip to bowl in the spring which we took on May 2, 2012.

      

Flashback!

Tonight Jesse asked to see photos of Grandma Lorene.  And looking at photos of Grandma is always bittersweet for me.  I miss her so much!  But as I was scrolling through photos from May, 2008 I happened upon this one.  And it made me smile.  Just what I needed.

Jesse had just turned two in this photo.  And in case you’re not familiar with the show Lazy Town,  he was dressed in his Sportacus costume.  Isn’t he just the most precious thing?!?!

My Little Graduate

 

As April came to a close, we had a BIG milestone to prepare for…kindergarten graduation!!!  On April 27th Jesse got all dressed up for his graduation photo shoot. 

He was so handsome in his tie!!!
