Yesterday was quite a busy day for this household. Of course we had our normal work & school all day, and then the boys had much needed haircuts. Then it was time for our end of summer party at Papa and Ah-ee’s. Yes, I said end of summer. Yes, it was October 8th. And until our cold snap last week the weather had been very summer like. In fact, it was 89 degrees yesterday afternoon. Still very summer like.
Aunt Lindsey had presents for our end of summer party…new swim trunks! So of course the boys had to try them out!
Yes, that is my boys IN the pool IN October. And no it is NOT a heated pool. The air outside was 89 degrees. The pool was a chilly 62 degrees. But that didn’t really concern my boys!
Hinson wanted to join in on the fun too! But we kept grabbing him up just as he was about to get his hands in the cold, cold water.
Never fear though! My boys didn’t spend the whole time in the pool! They swam in the hot tub too! They spent the afternoon jumping back and forth between the two.
Finally, warm & dry & inside!
After swimming, eating Aunt Lindsey’s yummy pizza casserole (I want that recipe!), eating oysters (Trey even ate some raw!), playing with Hinson, and swimming some more my boys were not ready to go home yet! We still had a camp out to attend and marshmallows to roast…
