This year we decided to have a scavenger hunt instead of an egg hunt with our fourth graders. And can I just say, it was a blast! The kids loved it and are already talking about next year’s hunt. We left school at 11:30 and went to a local pizza place for lunch. After lunch we divided into three teams of three and headed out with our list of 20 items to find. We only had a few rules…you had to go find everything (no cheating and getting stuff out of your car:-), you could only get two items at each place, and you had to be back at school at 2:30.
Picture of group on a park bench…check,
Yellow flower…check, American Flag…check,

Out of county car tag…check, Baxley city limit sign…check
Picture of group in front of a memorial…check,

a plastic fork, a church bulletin, a plastic egg, a business card signed by an employee, an expired coupon, a ketchup pack, a sweet & low pack, a grocery store circular, a dead bug wrapped in a napkin, a blue solo cup, a grocery receipt…check, check, check, and check!
We found all of our items and best of all made wonderful memories! I can’t wait to do it again!
