Blast Ball: The End

Jesse's last blast ball game was on Friday, May 14, 2009 and everybody came out to watch!

Jesse had a wonderful time playing blast ball! It was a great first experience for him. He can't wait until fall arrives and he can become involved in something else. Soccer? Karate? Who knows...it changes daily!

Field Trip Number 3

Last fall, ACA held our annual Christmas card (& other items) sale to raise money for the school. One of the incentives was a field trip to the Fun Place. On May 14th, our 1st through 5th graders were finally rewarded for their hard work back in the fall. Mr. G asked for teachers to volunteer to chaperon and since Trey was going, I volunteered! It was a very fun day spent with Trey and many of his classmates and schoolmates! We roller skated, putt-putted, go cart raced, and played many arcade games!

Jesse is 100% boy and he goes 100 m.p.h. all day long! He goes, and goes, and goes. And then. He crashes! Quickly! One minutes he's charging full steam ahead and the next he's out. Completely! And yes, he's 100% O.U.T. in every one of these photos. Even the last one.

May 3rd was also the first time that Jesse willingly shook the other team's hands after the game! A major step for him:-)

Tasty Tuesday: Hamburger Treats

Hamburger Treats are a hit in the school lunchroom, so I got the recipe from our cook and modified it slightly. My boys love them, so I made them for family night supper at church last Wednesday night and they were a HIT! I had several requests for the recipe so here it is.

Hamburger Treats

2 lbs Lee’s Ground Sausage, Mild
1 pkg cream cheese
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
3 cans of canned biscuits
shredded cheddar cheese

Brown the sausage and drain. Add the cream cheese and cream of mushroom soup to the sausage and mix well. Flatten biscuits with your hand and place them in a muffin tin. Spoon sausage mixture into the middle of each biscuit. Top with shredded cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until biscuits are done. I made 36 with this recipe, but you could easily cut the recipe in half. Enjoy!
