On May 7, 2011 our church attended state CTS competition in Hawkinsville, GA. We had seventeen competitors competing in seven categories including piano solo, Bible memorization, Bible Millionaire, and four singing groups.
Trey sang “Can He, Could He, Would He” with our God’s Musicians choir. They did an amazing job, but unfortunately did not place. However, our two oldest choirs, the Pine Level Praise and SHINE took home first place, as did our piano soloist! Our Bible Millionaire team did not miss a single question during competition and also took home first place. These four groups were able to compete at national competition in North Carolina during July. They represented Pine Level and our community well with our Praise choir bringing home third place in their division and our Bible Millionaire team bringing home FIRST PLACE!!! We are so excited, not only for the win, but for the strong Christians that these children are becoming. What they have learned over the past year and the experiences that they have had will never be taken away from them! “I have hidden YOUR WORD in my heart, that I might not sin against YOU” Psalm 119:11. Now that our teams are home from nationals we are gearing up for next year. Trey will be competing on the Bible Millionaire team, as well as in many other areas, and has already began studying. Please keep all these children, parents, and coaches in your prayers during the coming year. Preparing for competition is not an easy job, but the seeds that are sown and the fruit that is harvested are well worth it. Praises be to God from Whom ALL blessings flow!
